A break in the trees

The forests of his birth were as endless as the tales described. He'd seen wonders and horrors that he he'd no words for, and the trees seemed to have a life of their own. In that sense, he couldn't escape the feeling that it wasn't that different than navigating the choking crowds of Sheadun or Haligern. It was overwhelming at times.

Still, every so often there were breaks in the canopy allowing him to breathe and bringing life to his thoughts.
